about

The music from the album Daymares and Nightdreams follows a theme of feeling in-between. No piece is all the way cheerful, morose, or aggressive. The result is a roller coaster of emotions surging throughout each piece leaving the listener unsure of what to expect next. Daymares and Nightdreams also draws heavily on nature. The listener is transported from a gentle brook in Water to a desert landscape in Dust to the celestial mysticism of the heavens in Moonlight. John Baxter was trained in classical piano since a young age and began writing music at the age of thirteen. He draws inspiration from the music of Zack Hemsey, Rachmaninov, Debussy, and Hans Zimmer thus giving his music a blended feel of classical/orchestral/film music.
